The Engineering Council is currently conducting an Accreditation Review. This is separate to the review of the Accreditation of Higher Education Programmes (AHEP) and is focused upon accreditation processes, with the aim of assessing the extent of perceived inconsistencies.

A number of engineering academics have participated in workshops to inform this activity, both as course providers and, where applicable, as volunteer assessors and their input is much appreciated. Feedback from these suggests that there are inconsistencies of process which should be addressed; the Review working group is currently developing specific proposals and these will be shared in early 2020.
