The Engineering Accreditation Board (EAB) facilitates joint degree accreditation visits involving several professional engineering institutions, where there is commonality between the degree programmes. Five EAB accreditation visits were undertaken in academic year 2017/18 and six visits are scheduled for 2018/19. There are already four booked for 2019/20 and more are expected. The Engineering Council provides the secretariat for EAB.

Universities are responsible for requesting their own accreditation and need to do so well in advance. Because diaries fill up over year ahead and it will take a number of months after a visit for an accreditation decision to be confirmed, please request your accreditation visit request at least eighteen months in advance.
