The Engineering Professors’ Council (EPC) Congress was held from 13-15 May and featured two speakers from the Engineering Council. Chairman Professor Chris Atkin CEng FRAeS FREng took part in a panel on ‘Accreditation – Supporting Change in Engineering Education?’.  Katy Turff, Head of Professional Standards at the Engineering Council, discussed the review of existing registration structures which is currently underway in her session ‘Recognising Engineers’.

The focus of the congress this year was “Engineering change: Surviving and shaping the policy environment”, and gave engineering academics an opportunity to network, gain and share insights and stay in touch with developments in policy and practice in teaching, research and innovation.
