The Engineering Council is currently undertaking a review of the accreditation process for engineering degree programmes. The review will consider whether any updates or changes are needed to improve consistency across professional engineering institutions (PEIs). The project is being overseen by a working group, mainly comprised of engineering academics.

This activity is distinct from the review of Accreditation of Higher Education Programmes (AHEP), though the two reviews will be linked to ensure they are complementary.

The Engineering Council is interested in speaking to academics with experience in engineering degree accreditation. If you have been significantly involved in accreditation of a degree at your university, or as an accreditation panel member, and are interested in sharing your views please email accreditation@engc.org.uk before 17 June.
