There have been a few internal changes in the Engineering Council’s Professional Standards team.
Ronke Oyejola, Qualifications and Programmes Executive Assistant, is now on maternity leave. Emma Fairman, who previously worked at the Engineering Council under her maiden name Emma Benjamin, has stepped into the role to cover Ronke’s leave. Emma left the Engineering Council in July 2016, having worked for three years as Executive Assistant to support the Executive Team and international activities.
Ana Doncic joined the Professional Standards team at the end of March 2017 as a Higher Education Executive. She previously worked as a Policy Adviser at the Electoral Commission with experience of electoral fraud, electoral legislation and accessibility for voters.
Ana will provide Secretariat for Engineering Accreditation Board (EAB) visits and meetings, as well as support wider activity related to Higher Education and accreditation. Other responsibilities include acting as Secretariat for the Engineering Gateways Advisory Group, input to the maintenance and development of the Academic Course Accreditation Database and a new Qualifications and Programmes Database, and liaising with universities regarding the requirements for and outcomes of EAB visits.
