Mike Hope CEng MICE FCIWEM, who is Associate Professor at Kingston University, Faculty of Science Engineering and Computing, and a representative of the Engineering Gateways Advisory Group, will deliver a presentation on the benefits to employers and their engineering staff of the Engineering Council’s Engineering Gateways scheme. The presentation will be made to the Engineering Employers' Federation (EEF) South Skills Group on 19 July 2016 at Berthon Boat Company in Lymington, Hampshire. EEF is a leading industry body for engineering and manufacturing employers. Russell Burton, Principal Machinery Engineer at Air Products, will also speak at the event. Russell is a mechanical engineer who achieved Chartered Engineer registration with IMechE through a work-based learning MSc under the Engineering Gateways scheme. 

Engineering Gateways degrees are work-based degrees recognised by professional engineering institutions as a planned pathway towards professional registration.
