The presentation will be made to the Engineering Employers' Federation (EEF) South Skills Group on 19 July 2016 at Berthon Boat Company in Lymington, Hampshire. EEF is a leading industry body for engineering and manufacturing employers. Russell Burton, Principal Machinery Engineer at Air Products, will also speak at the event. Russell is a mechanical engineer who achieved Chartered Engineer registration with IMechE through a work-based learning MSc under the Engineering Gateways scheme.

Engineering Gateways degrees are work-based degrees recognised by professional engineering institutions as a planned pathway towards professional registration. The Engineering Council is keen for more universities, employers and professional engineering institutions to actively engage with Engineering Gateways.
