The Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) is consulting on proposals that relate to teaching funding to improve access to Higher Education (HE) and successful student outcomes, including support for students wishing to progress to taught postgraduate study.

Proposals include continuing to offer support for students studying high cost subjects at taught postgraduate level. Further proposals involve reforming an existing supplement for taught postgraduate study to focus on flexible, short cycle provision, and funding the ongoing study of students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
