Engineering Ethics 2028 - consultation
Published: 13/05/2019
The Inter Disciplinary Ethics Applied (IDEA) Centre at Leeds University would like your views about its ten-year vision for embedding ethics in the UK engineering profession.
This vision sets out a plan to accelerate and focus the work of the profession in the public interest. This builds on the successful Engineering Ethics conference held last September, organised by the IDEA Centre, and is supported by the Engineering Council, the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng), the Engineering Professors’ Council (EPC) and Engineers Without Borders UK. It acknowledges the achievements so far, including the joint Engineering Council/RAEng Statement of Ethical Principles.
The IDEA Centre is consulting widely about its vision, how it can be achieved, and what individuals and organisations can do to contribute to achieving it.
To take part in the consultation, please visit the EngEthics 2028 webpage, where you can also download the 2018 vision.
