Big Bang Fair

Published: 06/03/2019

The annual Big Bang Fair, the largest celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) for young people in the UK, is being held from 13-16 March at the NEC, Birmingham.

The event aims to show young people aged 7 to 19 the future they can build from these subjects, offering presentations and demonstrations throughout the day alongside a wide range of exhibits, featuring interactive activities and educational information.

For older children and teenagers starting to think about university and careers, there will be engineers and scientists available to speak to who can provide expert career guidance, with a real world perspective.

While applications for 2019 are now closed, the Big Bang Fair encourages companies, activity providers, education institutions and show organisers to get involved, and also recruits volunteers.

All visitors must book a ticket, but attendance is free for those under 19 with a valid student ID and any adults must be with a child or student group. Tickets are still available for Saturday 16 March and can be booked online.
